| Compelling and Powerful |
|
JEDlets are compelling e-learning tutorials, a powerful means of knowledge acquisition and application. Content internalization is facilitated through the use of practical examples and exercises that relate to everyday experience. Once a JEDlet is completed, self-actualization is the learner’s individual prerogative.

| The Learning Stages |
|
JEDlets are designed to address four well-established learning stages:
- Acquisition: Learners acquire knowledge that, when
internalized, is used to affect behavior and self-actualization. Learners are
asked to classify, list, codify, locate, give examples, name, explain, identify,
crosscheck, or compile.
- Application: Learners are required to demonstrate the
knowledge that they have acquired. Learners are able to apply, complete,
perform, fix, prepare, solve, simulate, write, draw, organize, deduct, summarize
or synthesize.
- Personalize: This learning stage involves the
internalization of the lessons learned into individual values, beliefs, and
other personal attributes. Learners are able to analyze, question, argue,
comment on, determine, evaluate, weigh, visualize, decide or choose.
- Actualization: Using their acquired knowledge, learners can
recognize and strive for their full potential on their own terms. Defining
characteristics of this learning stage is the ability to engage, commit, advise,
guide, coach, transform, elaborate or innovate.
